Digital Shared Services

Digital Shared Services (DSS) is a Directorate within Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) in the Department of Finance.

Responsibilities of DSS include:

• provision of IT infrastructure services for the Northern Ireland Civil Service and some wider public sector organisations,

• the Government citizen portal http://www.nidirect.gov.uk (including nidirect contact centre services),

• delivering the Digital Transformation Programme, and

• driving the Open Data agenda, (including operation of the Open Data Portal http://www.opendatani.gov.uk ).
