Back in Business rate support scheme awards from April 2024

The Back in Business support scheme was relaunched by the Department of Finance on 15th May 2024 and is administered by Land and Property Services (LPS). Businesses who are entitled to the support are entitled to a 50% reduction in their rates. To be eligible, the business ratepayer must move into premises on or after the 1st April 2024, which were previously used for retail purposes and have been unoccupied for 12 months or more. Eligible business ratepayers will receive a 50% rate reduction for up to two years from the date they occupy the premises. LPS holds details on how many business ratepayers have benefitted from the scheme. The information provided in the table is updated quarterly and is at month end. Data is presented by District Council.
