Annual Reference Costs (which I’ve also seen referred to as unit costs) have been published by DHSSPS under the OGL. However, no more recently than 2007-08.
(Can't find them on Dept website now since the new CMS was implemented, so can't refer to them)
They were broken down in different ways depending on the service type:
* Acute [by trust and speciality],
* Specialist Services [by Trust],
* Hospital outpatients [by hospital],
* Community Services [by centre, and also with activity numbers]
These datasets were originally published in PDFs, though obviously generated from a database. They would be much more useful published in machine-readable formats.
