This dataset accompanies the Northern Ireland local authority collected municipal waste management statistics reports. It contains finalised, validated information on the quantities of local authority collected municipal waste collected and managed in Northern Ireland from 2006/07 to the latest available including provisional quarterly data. It provides information on the quantities and rates of local authority collected municipal waste arising, sent for preparing for reuse, for dry recycling, composting, energy recovery and sent to landfill. Some of these measurements are key performance indicators. These are used to assess progress towards achieving waste strategy targets. Breakdowns are available by district council and waste management group.
