PSNI fixed penalties, speed and safer driver courses for motoring offences 2017 – 2023

The dataset contains information on the number of motoring offences detected by the PSNI between 2017 and 2023 and dealt with by means of a FPN, speed awareness or safer driver course. The variables include a unique ID, offence date, offence time, offence type, disposal, FPN Type, Local Government District (based on where the offence occurred), speed limit, speed detected (grouped), offender age (grouped), offender gender. This dataset does not include PSNI motoring offences that were referred for prosecution as these figures are not currently finalised. In addition this dataset does not include detections for speeding or red light running by the NI Road Safety Partnership.
