Rates paid by District Council and Sector

This data presents the number of occupancies, where an occupancy represents a liable person, persons, business or organisation at a property at a given time, that have made a payment of greater than £0 within the rating year, and the total receipts paid against ratepayer accounts as at 31st March each year, as recorded on the Land & Property (LPS) rating system. The data will include occupancies with a remaining balance at the end of the rating year. Data is presented by District Council and by Property type.

It should be noted that the numbers and receipts for Non-Domestic occupancies for the years 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 will be affected by Business Rates Holiday reliefs that were applied at that time.

Please note, the totals included above are not adjusted for receipts at Year End which have been paid by ratepayers, but not yet allocated to a particular rate account.
